Meanwhile, for LSG, it was their skipper Rishabh Pant who finally got in among the runs and took them to a decent total. The left-hander scored 63 off 49 with 4 fours and 4 sixes, before being dismissed by Matheesa Pathirana.
Debutant Shaik Raseed and Rachin Ravindra began well for CSK in the chase, with a 52-run partnership. Despite wickets in the middle, Shivam Dube (43 off 37) and Dhoni carried the Yellow Army home with three balls to spare.
Chennai still sit at the last spot though after this win, with a game against Mumbai Indians next, which will be played at the Wankhede Stadium.

Meanwhile, the WinViz Predictor when MS Dhoni walked in to bat today (End of 15th over) showed LSG at 73 percent and CSK at 27 percent. It was Dhoni’s cameo that took all the pressure away from Dube and took CSK to a much-needed win.
Dhoni was also adjudged Player of the Match for his knock. But it wasn’t just his innings that stole the show. Captain Cool also came up with a moment of brilliance from behind the stumps, inflicting a run-out at the far-end in the last over of LSG’s innings.
