“I would like to pass on the message and condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the terrorist attack. I strongly condemn, our team strongly condemns these cowardly acts,” Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya said.
“Yeah, it’s been heartbreaking to see. From all of us at Sunrisers and also from all the Aussies who are loved here in India, our hearts go to all the victims and the families of all those that have been affected,” Cummins said.
As a mark of respect, all players, coaching staff, and broadcast personnel wore black armbands.
A minute of silence was observed before the match, while the BCCI ensured the atmosphere remained somber, cancelling fireworks and cheerleader performances for the evening.
