She scored 123 runs from just 101 balls, hitting 15 fours and one six. Her strike rate was 121.78. This knock is her highest ever in One Day Internationals (ODIs), beating her previous best of 102 against Ireland earlier this year.
Rodrigues now joins the list of Indian women with the top individual scores against South Africa in ODIs.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl. India had an early setback with Pratika Rawal getting out for just 1. Smriti Mandhana provided some stability with 51 off 63 balls.
After she got out with the score at 138/4, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma (93 from 84 balls) put on a big partnership that turned the game in India’s favor. Deepti smashed 10 fours and 2 sixes in her innings.
Late contributions from Richa Ghosh (20 from 12 balls) and Charani (6 from 3 balls) helped push the total beyond 330.

After scoring her century, Jemimah removed her helmet and sent a flying kiss toward the dressing room. She then turned her bat into a makeshift guitar and celebrated in style, strumming it playfully to mark the moment.
