Nicholas Pooran sends one to orbit. (Photo credit: Associated Press)The IPL 2025 season is currently underway and we are fast approaching the Playoffs stage of the tournament.
With 46 matches having been played across venues in India, we now have a good understanding of which Players are the best when it comes to Fantasy Cricket and who all should definitely be among your picks.
Here’s a look at them!
The West Indian star has gone all out this season and has given points aplenty to whoever has picked him. Pooran has loved smashing bowlers all around the park and has actually been the top performer for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), at the No.3 position. He has so far scored 404 runs in 10 games, with a mammoth 34 sixes and 33 fours.
The South African has enjoyed his time with LSG this season. He has not just opened the batting with Mitchell Marsh and led the attack for them in the Powerplay but also bowled a few overs when required. Markram has scored 335 runs and taken four wickets.

Yet another IPL season, and yet another prolific performance from Virat Kohli. But frankly, has there ever been any doubt about him? Never.
Kohli has attacked, anchored as well as finish games for RCB, doing everything you can ask of him. His experience has proved vital for the side, more so because they have a new captain in Rajat Patidar.
And quite deservingly, after playing 10 games this season, the King has the crown right on his head. He is the Orange Cap holder with 443 runs at an outstanding average of 63.29.

There was a time some time back, Suryakumar Yadav was struggling for runs in what is his favourite format – T20s. But not anymore, SKY is now lofting bowlers over the keeper’s head, over fine leg, over third man and where not!
He is leading Mumbai’s march towards another IPL title with his astonishing shot-making. So far, the right-hander has scored 427 at a strike-rate of 169.44 and sits just below Kohli in the Orange Cap race.
The biggest disrespect for Suryakumar yadav is that people compare him to a choker named AB devilliers who bottled 33 tournaments worldwide. pic.twitter.com/3SnJazHAu2

Gujarat Titans’ heavily rely on their Top-3 to win games. It is them who lay the foundation for their success. Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler do the bulk of the scoring, while the bowlers defend whatever they have on the board. And Sai especially has been at his sublime run-scoring best.
He has batted a strike-rate of 152.18 and scored runs consistently. With 417 runs in 8 games, he sits at third in the highest run-scorers chart.
