The left-hander slammed 87* off just 36 balls for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). His unbeaten knock helped LSG register a massive 238 for 3 total on the board.
Pooran made sure he entertained the crowd at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata smashing 7 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. He finished with a strike-rate of 241.67. So far, he has already scored 3 fifties in five matches this season and sits at the top of the highest run-scores with 288 runs.
This knock was also his best IPL score. He reached his fifty off just 21 balls.
Earlier, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bowl first. Lucknow stitched a big 99-run partnership for the first wicket, thanks to Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh. Markram was the first one to depart, having been bowled by a Harshit Rana slower delivery for 47 (28).
Marsh then continued the carnage before getting dismissed for 81 off 48, falling to Andre Russell.
