While the tournament still hasn’t reached the halfway mark yet, it has already provided us with some really fun moments, that got us bursting into laughter.
Today, we take a look at the 3 Most Funny moments from IPL 2025 so far.
This incident happened during Punjab Kings‘ encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Facing the first ball of his innings from Yuzvendra Chahal, KKR vice-captain Venkatesh Iyer hit the delivery towards backward square-leg for what should have been a single.
However, Bartlett made a huge mistake after collecting the ball as he attempted to throw the ball back towards the wicket-keeper. The ball slipped out of the 26-year-old’s hand and went towards the boundary line.
The action was considered an overthrow instead of a midfield and hence, the one run that batters ran also counted along with the boundary. Five runs awarded hence.

Tis absolutely hilarious moment unfolded during the IPL 2025 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings when Ishan Kishan lost track of the ball while fielding.
The incident occurred in the very first over bowled by Mohammed Shami, as Prabhsimran Singh played a drive past the bowler. Although Kishan initially stopped the ball, he bizarrely failed to locate it moments later.
The ball actually stopped on an advertisement that had white paint and it camouflaged. Pat Cummins was visibly stunned, and the internet was left in splits over this amusing episode.

Deepak Chahar, now playing for Mumbai Indians and MS Dhoni, CSK’s skipper were involved in a playful banter in the early days of IPL 2025. Chahar sledged Dhoni as he walked out to bat, with the game almost decided.
After the match ended, Dhoni waited for Chahar during the post-game handshake and playfully tapped him with his bat, capturing a light-hearted moment that highlighted their friendly camaraderie.
