The Ministry of Defence clarified on X that the strikes were focused only on terrorist facilities and deliberately avoided any Pakistani military infrastructure. The ministry described the response as “precise and restrained,” aimed at dismantling the network behind cross-border terrorism while avoiding unnecessary escalation.

Two major blows were dealt in Bahawalpur and Muridke, areas long linked to terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
According to intelligence sources, around 25 to 30 terrorists were believed to have been eliminated at each of these key sites. In Muridke, Indian forces specifically hit the Masjid wa Markaz Taiba, a well-known LeT base that has often been called the group’s main ideological hub.
